thank you

Sue
thank you for being the first person to show me a place that feels like home. thank you for being funny and strong and chaotic and sarcastic and for having all these wrinkles in your face that multiply every time you smile. thanks for all the chewy pieces of meat you made for dinner, for telling me the story how you lost your finger and for being so generous and honest and caring and natural. i love you.

Ian
thank you for singing, humming, whistling, playing this one song over and over again (you know which one i mean). thanks for taking me to your gymnastic class, for showing me the deliciousness of thickened cream in my morning porridge, for folding your fingers on top of your huge round tummy as you always used to do. thanks for wearing two different socks and horrible trousers and for being a person that lives so much in the moment, confidently, trustfully, that i forget about everything that i wanted to worry about. i love you.

Lawrence
thank your for being weird and big and ugly, but still somehow beautiful. you're one of the nicest persons i know. thanks for wearing the same mickey mouse cap every day, for putting me in a good mood only by the way you wish me a good morning and thanks for having the idea that i have my simba tattoo because rafiki came to my bed one night and blessed me and painted it on my shoulder. i love you.

Toby
thank you for being the cutest two year old i've ever met. thanks for your trust that makes you come cuddling with me, smiling at me and making me read to you. thanks for the way you say "yeahh." and "fuuuun-ny!" as if you always got a stuffed nose. thank you for being so brave when you get your asthma medicine (watching that almost made me cry) and for helping me filling the dishwasher (even though helping means here that you carry one spoon at the time which makes the whole thing take ages). i love you.

James
thank you for being my host, my older brother, my friend, my roommate and the first person i slept with after my first boyfriend. it never felt awkward, it always felt like home. thanks for your couch. thank you for being so grown up - watering your plants, feeding your fish, having matching sheets and dishes - and so childish at the same time - dancing like a happy 4-year-old, smoking weed in the office, laughing at things like dicks for fingers. thanks for making me feel so comfortable in a place that i just started to explore, for taking me to the beach, getting me a chocolate sundae and saying "i kinda love you", just like that. i'm looking forward to seeing you again, i love you.

Jodie
thank you for being the first person that smiled at me on a day when i felt completely lost. thank you for keeping smiling at me. thank you for showing me your beautiful unique tattoo (never never eat kangaroo tail soup!) for wearing that dress from bali that i fell in love with and for having the most beautiful face, hair, and body, and the most interesting stories to tell. i'm sure you will be more happy than sad in your life, and i wish you all the best. i love you.

Fabian
thank you for your lovely face and your curly hair and your adorable accent. thanks for the sandwiches you brought me every day and for putting the banana bread "under my turtle". it was the best thing to dance with you and to drink with you and to play seven clap with you and adam. i hope i'll see you again next week! i love you.

Dean
thank you for being here everyday and always, always in the same shirt. thank you for sharing your food and your goon with me and for telling me about how bluebottles always face the sea when they are kept out of the water. thanks for the way you talk and for saying "i will never drink alcohol ever again" every single morning. thanks for being so down to earth despite the fact that you're taking cocaine so you should be up high in the sky all the time. i always feel alright around you. i love you.

Kalle
thank you for probably being the weirdest german person that anyone will ever meet. there is no one i'd rather go the beach with and have random conversations about anything. thanks for never lying. thanks for saying that you like the way i think, and my bun, oh, and my butt as well. thank you for heaps of weird selfies and making me laugh so hard everytime i watch you taking one. thanks for always asking me if i want to sunbath with you, thanks for touching me without any ambiguity. i love you.
what. the actual. fuck.

Andrew
thank you for being awkward and cool at the same time, i don't even know how we end up talking about the universe and the meaning of life everytime i was originally just asking you if i could borrow your fork. thanks for being so reliable and funny and random, i like the thought of having an actual friend in adelaide, if i ever come back. i'd like you to be my cousin. thank you for "taxi!" and real slim shady by eminem (how could i not know that song?!) thanks for showing me aloe vera jelly water (very strange!) and setting up a new game of thirteen every ten minutes. i love you.

Deni
thank you for giving me all your leftover food and tooth paste. thank you for coming to the pool with me even though you don't swim. thank you for having such an honest character, the best music taste and a past you don't talk about. thank you for going "wheeeeeeeeeeeee!" everytime i enter a room ever since i showed you that video of the snail sitting on a turtle sitting on a plane flying right into the asshole of some random giant monster (what the fuck?). thank you for letting me have some of your lemon fudge and for telling me that you missed me. i really think you're beautiful. thanks for take flight by lindsey stirling on your earphones at 7am after an epic night. i love you.

Drew
thank you. i don't even know what to say. i want to know you forever. i love you.

Adam
thank you for being so fucking beautiful. thank you for being so fucking good in bed. thank you for coming back, for hugging me again and again, for calling me gorgeous two times even though you usually never use that word, for actually having a world map tattoo, for not sleeping with me when i was too drunk, thank you a lot for that text saying "can we make waffles one day? i think we should make waffles haha" simply thank you for being so good to me. i love you (not in that way, but, you know, yeah. i do kinda love you)
